How does solar power work?

Solar power works by converting light from the sun into electricity. This power is then fed into your inverter where it is converted from DC electricity to AC electricity. From here, it is either consumed directly by the power loads within your home or exported to the grid for somebody else to consume - this allows you to earn credits for the power you don't consume, whilst at the same time helping the environment!

The amount of power you need depends on your home's consumption profile. As a general rule of thumb, a standard 5kw inverter with a 6.6kw array with produce approximately 20kWh's per day in Melbourne.

We start with an initial discussion via phone or email, and get to know your personal energy needs and budget. With this information, our team gets to work drafting an initial concept to match your requirements. We also apply for any necessary pre-approvals from your distributor to ensure the designed system meets their conditions.

2. Site inspection

Next, one of our expert solar specialists will come to your home to confirm and finalise your solar system design, discussing all details with you and making sure everything is set for a smooth installation day - this step is essential!

3. Contract signing

Once your design has been finalised and you decide to proceed, the details are agreed in writing, and we start preparing for your installation.

4. Installation day

The day your solar and/or battery system is installed at your home and you start producing energy from the sun to help the planet, whilst saving some money along the way.

In addition, product manufacturers offer warranties on their products which vary between 10 years and 25 years, depending on the product.
